2016 Tetelman Lecture: Jennifer Doudna
December 1, 2016
For the first time in history, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry went to two women. One of the prize-winning women is Jennifer Doudna, who was a Yale faculty member from 1994–2002, before moving to University of California, Berkeley. However, she came back to Yale in 2016 to deliver JE’s Tetelman Lecture, one of the most important science/engineering lectureships at Yale. Professor Doudna spent two days at Yale, lecturing and also meeting with JE students and fellows. Her lecture was on her work with CRISPR-based gene editing, the discovery that led to her Nobel Prize.
